  4. That is so damn funny!!!! For a second I thought it was going to be Apocalypse Now, but Annie Hall would far more damaging.

  5. This really gets my goat! I mean what kind of a jerk would do that to his kid? How could you think of something so odious and horrific? I hate this monstrosity of a ninja dad. I'm going to be troubled by this cartoon for a long time.
(my wife helped me with the word odious).

  8. I checked it out--Johannes is a real person who runs the Woody Allen site. Yeah, I've got that kind of time today.

Have to agree with John S.: The cartoonist does not mean to denigrate Annie Hall at all. It did inspire a generation; it did make cinematic history. But no little kid gave a shit about that when Star Wars came out. It's an example of situational irony, and I considered it a comic nod to Annie Hall.

Calm down, sir. If you feel this will actually upset him, don't let him see it. I would assume he has more to fill his day than harmless comics.

  9. I kind of agree with the anonymous comment above. Annie Hall is one of my favorites and as much as I love this comic I don't think Annie Hall should be made fun of.

Besides, what have you guys directed?

  10. I dumped the anonymous comments. It was just some of my goofy pals being silly. They know I dig Annie Hall.
    Thanks for the positive feedback!
    New one coming soon!

  12. Hey Willis,

Just discovered your site recently - Really love it!
I didn't realize the comment above was joking - sorry guys for my comment.

I saw you work for Dreamworks - LOVED Kung Fu Panda! Did you work on that?
I've been looking into getting into the animation buziness - I drew a lot in high school. Is there a way to send you a portfolio or get more information about Dreamworks Animation?

    Thanks -
    Rich

  13. Well, all these years later , I just came across this.

    So funny.

    In 1977 I was 15. I saw Annie Hall 3 or 4 times.

I never actually saw Star Wars until a few years later (they re-released it before the release of The Empire Strikes Back) Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Star Wars. But it never had the same effect on me as Annie Hall.

Another movie I saw in 1977 that greatly impacted me and sealed my fate (to pursue filmmaking , particularly animation) was The Rescuers.
